Apply for SNAP - Like P-EBT, SNAP is money for food
The Pandemic - Electronic Benefits (P-EBT) Program is a federal program created to provide funds for families with infants and children 0-5 years old who get SNAP to help buy more food during the COVID-19 pandemic.
You are eligible if you have an infant or child 0-5 year, AND your family was getting SNAP between September 2022 and May 2023.
The amount is based on the average decrease in child care meals provided during these months compared to before the pandemic.
Using P-EBT does NOT impact you or your child’s immigration status. The public charge rule does NOT apply to P-EBT funds.
If you got SNAP between September 2022 and May 2023:
Check your SNAP EBT card on August 25th 2023 for one retroactive school year 2022 - 2023 payment. For each eligible month:
$30 September 2022 - April 2023
$15 May 1- May 11th 2023
If you have your EBT card: Check your balance on DTAConnect.com, the DTA Connect mobile app or call the number on the back of your card.
If you do not have your EBT card: If you are on SNAP now, request a new card on DTAConnect, by calling 877 382 2363, or going to a local DTA office. If you are not on SNAP now, call 877 382 2363 and press 7 or go to a local DTA office.
You get this payment automatically if your child was under 6 and got SNAP between September 2022 and May 2023.
